Spiritual Growth 2025

Transforming the Whole person
Spiritually | Culturally | Theologically
Spiritual Growth begins when we come into the world and continues throughout our lives. So, we aim to provide opportunities for all ages. We consider it both an incredible gift and responsibility to provide opportunities for individual and communal growth. We have diverse options to match the diverse needs and outlooks of those who entrust us with cultivating spiritual growth experiences. In all we do, we seek to cultivate a curiosity for lifelong spiritual growth.
Adults
When | Sundays | 11:15 am - 12:15 pm
Each quarter we offer a variety of classes for adults. Here is a list of opportunities we will offer this winter beginning Sunday, January 12:
Bible Basics 2.0
11:15 am | Room 254
Format | Bible Study
Led by | Rev. Carrie Veal
The Bible is full of wisdom. And it’s confusing, has been used to push agendas, shape communities (for good or ill), and more. Our relationship with the Bible is as different as each of us are. And it has a lot to offer us when we engage our minds, hearts, souls, and each other.
There are books of the Bible that tend to be avoided. Lamentations is one of those books. After all, who wants to be confused AND sad? But in these laments, we find hope and love, power and encouragement. We will kick off this semester of Bible Basics 2 with a 5-week dive into this often-overlooked book.

Life is unpredictable, and in the face of change spiritual practices can access grounding, connection, and meaning. Each week, we will focus on a different spiritual discipline, including breath prayer, meditation, labyrinth, and origami. All are welcome.
“We do not want to be beginners. But let us be convinced of the fact that we will never be anything else but beginners, all our life!” Thomas Merton, Contemplative Prayer
