Remembering Franchaska Quick

Our church community grieves the death of beloved member Franchaska Quick who we lost during Women’s History Month and two weeks before Transgender Day of Visibility. Franchaska was an active leader in our church who served on the Ministry of Justice and Outreach, volunteered in Vacation Bible School, Room in the Inn, and Gathering in the Harbor, and actively participated in worship and programming every time the doors were open. Her life and faith inspired our church to more fully embody the beliefs we proclaim. We thank God for her witness, and we dedicate this upcoming Transgender Day of Visibility to her. It is fitting that Transgender Day of Visibility coincides with Easter Sunday this year. May Franchaska’s memory live on in each of us and our community.
