When everything around us seems to be changing, what remains our north star?
Leaders come and go. Political movements rise and fall. Elections bring change. But for people of faith, our calling remains the same: love God with our whole being and love our neighbor as ourselves. In Matthew 22, Jesus identifies these as the greatest commandments, the foundation on which everything else rests.
This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Tim Moore continues Hope in a Sea of Political Division with a reminder that whatever happens in the days ahead, our mission does not change. We are still called to love.
Join us for worship at 10 a.m. in person or online.
Immediately following worship, we encourage you to stay for one of the many Spiritual Growth classes available for adults, youth, and children (Godly Play).
Pastor's Notes:
Pastors come and go. Presidents come and go. Political trends come and go. Our north star never changes. To love God with our whole being and to love our neighbor as ourselves remains as true today as the moment Jesus spoke those words (along with others who said similar things). Whatever happens in the election next week, our mission as people of faith remains unchanged.
