MPBC Shines Bright at the RAIN Walk
Despite the rainy weather, the spirit of generosity and community shined brightly on Saturday, May 30, as Myers Park Baptist Church participated in the annual RAIN AIDS Walk.
This year, our congregation set an ambitious fundraising goal of $7,500. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, friends, and supporters, we not only met that goal—we exceeded it, raising an outstanding $9,100 to support the vital work of RAIN and its mission to serve individuals and families affected by HIV.
A special highlight of the event was the recognition of Myers Park Baptist Church with the prestigious Generations of Impact Award, honoring the many years of faithful support our church has given to the RAIN Walk. Thirteen walkers proudly represented our congregation and were invited on stage to accept the award on behalf of the entire church family.
Although the weather was less than ideal, our dedicated walkers showed up with enthusiasm and determination. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who braved the rain and represented Myers Park Baptist Church so well throughout the event.
We also want to express our deep gratitude to every person who donated to this important cause. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those served by RAIN and demonstrates our church’s commitment to compassion, justice, and community care.
A special congratulations goes to Scott Crowder, who individually raised an impressive $1,250, making a significant contribution to our overall success. We are grateful for his three decades of leadership of this event
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, encouraged, and supported this effort. Together, we demonstrated the power of faith in action and the impact that a caring community can make.
Yay for MPBC!
