Support Pinewood Elementary as a New School Year Begins

A new school year is just around the corner! Teachers at Pinewood Elementary will return on August 17, and students will begin classes on August 25. As part of our long-standing partnership with Pinewood, Myers Park Covenant Church is once again collecting school and classroom supplies to help students and teachers start the year with the resources they need.

As back-to-school sales begin, we invite you to take advantage of the season's discounts and pick up a few extra items for Pinewood Elementary. Whether you add a pack of pencils, notebooks, tissues, or other supplies to your regular shopping trip, your donation will help equip students and teachers for a successful start to the school year. A collection crate is located in the Heaton Hall narthex for your contributions.

Donations of all kinds are welcome, including classroom supplies, art and craft materials, and items that teachers use throughout the year. Particularly helpful items include:

Ticonderoga #2 pencils
Crayola crayons
Glue sticks
Narrow- and wide-ruled notebook paper
Composition books and spiral notebooks
Copy paper
Dry-erase markers
Permanent markers
Kleenex tissues
Bandages
Gallon-sized zip-top bags
Hand sanitizer

One item that teachers can use all year long is Kleenex, so those donations are always appreciated!

Our goal is to deliver these supplies to Pinewood Elementary when members of our church serve breakfast to the faculty and staff as they prepare for the new school year. Your generosity is a tangible way to encourage both teachers and students and to help ensure a successful start to the school year.

Thank you for continuing to support our neighbors at Pinewood Elementary through this meaningful ministry.
